Board
Wolfgang F. Driese
DCMP – Chairman
Former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DVB Bank SE from 1997 until retirement in June 2015, Mr. Driese presided over the Bank´s transformation into a globally leading advisory and finance house.
Evan D. Cohen
Former Managing Director DVB Bank SE, Mr. Cohen was in charge of DVB’s Dry Bulk Shipping Business. Most recently responsible for global restructuring for shipping division.
Team
Martin Hessels
Former Managing Director and Global Head of Credit of DVB Bank SE, in which capacity he was a voting member of the bank`s Credit and Equity Investment Committees. Prior to that he spent 15 years abroad, heading up DVB`s offices in respectively New York, Athens and Singapore, managing the bank`s partnerships in these regions. Before joining DVB, Mr. Hessels held senior corporate banking positions at ABN Amro Bank.
Thomas Falck
Mr. Falck held multiple positions at DVB Bank SE in Norway for the past 15 years, most recently as Managing Director and Head of Nordic Shipping. He has also been a director with the global restructuring team of DVB.
Before joining DVB, Mr. Falck held senior corporate banking positions with the shipping department of ING Bank in Norway, Singapore and London, and corporate finance (maritime) with DNB, as well as 11 years as an officer of the Royal Norwegian Navy.
Klaus Michels
Founder of Michels & Co. GmbH, a shipping advisory firm closely affiliated with DC Maritime and specializing in the structuring and arrangement of maritime finance. Klaus worked with DVB Bank SE for more than 15 years as Managing Director in Hamburg and Singapore, and held several senior banking positions within Deutsche Bank Group (Hamburg, Jakarta, Frankfurt), Miyakoshi Corporation and MM Warburg.
Carla Bel
Worked as VP in Portfolio Management of DVB Bank SE between 2014-2018, Amsterdam. Prior she has worked for DVB in Curacao (2006-2014) as Fund administrator in Shipping and the restructuring unit.
Patrick Forinton
Founder of Finsbury Shipping Ltd, a shipbroker closely affiliated with DC Maritime and specializing in financial vessel sale and purchase, vessel valuations. Worked with DVB Bank SE for 11 years, as an SVP RM, Also has commercial experience at Alfred C Toepfer, now ADM Germany.
